Coronavirus Benefit for Self-Employed and Companies in Poland

If you run a company in Poland (including working as self-employed), then you may be eligible to apply for a one-time financial benefit to compensate your lower income caused by coronavirus epidemic.

What can you get?

  • You can receive “Świadczenie Postojowe” (AKA “Impediment Benefit” or “Coronavirus Benefit”).
  • This benefit is a one-time payment to your bank account.
  • You can receive either 2080 PLN or 1300 PLN.

Who can get this benefit?

You can get this benefit if you are a sole trader (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) or a commercial law company, e.g. limited liability company (spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością).

What are the requirements for this benefit?

You will receive the benefit in the amount of 2080 PLN if either:

  • you started your business before 1 st February 2020 (you didn’t suspend your business) and the revenue, that you obtained in the previous month was:
    a) lower than the revenue which you obtained in the previous month by 15%,
    and
    b) less than 15 681.00 PLN
  • you started your business before 1st February 2020, but you suspended it after 31st January and the revenue which you obtained in the previous month was less than 15 681.00 PLN
  • you have no other social security title (e.g. work agreement),
  • you live in Poland and you are a Polish citizen or you have a temporary or permanent residence permit in Poland

You will receive the benefit in the amount of 1300 PLN if either:

  • you pay tax via Tax Card (Karta Podatkowa) or you are exempted from paying VAT,
  • you have no other social security title (e.g. work agreement),
  • you live in Poland and you are a Polish citizen or you have a temporary or permanent residence permit in Poland
